Tyne and Wear AGM 2011
The date for the 2011 Tyne and Wear AGM has been announced as Monday
July 18th at 7pm Blueflames. All clubs must send 2 members, and
applications for the Winter 2011/12 league will be
accepted on the night.
Tyne and Wear Fast Net Tournament
The Tyne and Wear Netball Commitee are hosting a Fast
Net tournament on Saturday 9th July 2011 at Northumbria University's
Sports Central.
Fast Net is a game of netball that has been altered to make it more interesting
and exciting to participate in and watch. A number of innovative rule
changes have been introduced to the traditional game, designed to test
the fitness, technical ability and tactical awareness of teams. If you

Spring League
The Tyne and Wear County Spring League will commence on Monday 7th March at Blue Flames. There are 80 teams this year and the divisions will play on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. There will be no Spring League games on Tuesday nights. However Tuesday will be the night used for the Outdoor League at Burnside College due to start in May.
Please note that within the pack of information handed to all teams at the General Meeting were your Nomination and 2nd Affiliation sheets. These must be completed and posted or handed to the League Secretary (Liz W.) before the 7th March. Every team competing must complete a Nomination Sheet. Any club wishing to second affiliate new players for the Spring League must list the names of these players on the 2nd Affiliation sheet.
Outdoor League
This is planned to start in May and will most likely be played at Burnside College in Wallsend. If you wish to enter a team in this league please contact the League Secretary to register your interest. All players must be affiliated but need not come from the same club or county. Teams entering will be in divisions of 7 or 8 teams (6 or 7 matches) and the cost will be around £70 per team. Exact costs will be published once final team numbers have been confirmed.
Handbooks
The 2010/11 Tyne and Wear Handbooks are now availiable. These will be given out at League matches in the next couple of weeks, to all affiliated county members
